Steel Magnolias of UCLA-Interview with the Founders of UPWARD

UPWARD is an achronym that stands for United People Working Against Random Destruction. It is a group of concerned citizens who have pooled their talents and connections to fight violence in our communities and raise awaremess of the resources and organizations who support movement toward positive change and mentoring of our youth.

This Saturday, Feb. 25th, UPWARD is hosting an anti-violence showcase entitled Music Stops the Madness: A Rally for Peace from 3PM-7PM at Conway High School. Attendee's will include The Conway High Gospel Choir, Ms. Rose Rock (mother of Chris Rock) and national Hip Hop/R&B recording artist Zoe Wilks.

"Our communities must rally against random acts of destruction. We must unite as a people in order to stop violence and bring about peace. This is not just a moment, this is a movement."
